You should avoid drinking alcohol if you are pregnant or trying to conceive. If you do choose to drink, then protect your baby by drinking no more than one to two units of alcohol once or twice a week and don’t get drunk, but we will prefer to stop drinking.

Take 400 micrograms of folic acid a day. This should be continued until you are 12 weeks pregnant
If you have a health condition, for example (mental health problems, diabetes or a family history of any inherited diseases) talk to your GP or a specialist before you try to get pregnant.

Process of getting pregnant and when does the early signs of pregnancy can be noticed.

Conception is the process that begins with the fertilization of an egg and ends with the implantation of an egg into a woman’s uterus now women can be regarded as she is pregnant.

When a woman conceives around the time when she is about to ovulate, that is, when an egg (OVUM) has been released from one of her ovaries into one of her Fallopian tubes.

During sexual intercourse, sperm are ejaculated from a man’s penis into a woman’s vagina. In one ejaculation there may be more than 300 million sperm. Most of the sperm leak out of the vagina but some begin to swim up through the cervix. When a woman is ovulating, the mucus in the cervix is thinner than usual to let sperm pass through more easily. Sperm swim into the uterus and the Fallopian tubes. Fertilization takes place if a sperm joins with an egg and fertilizes it. in some females, early signs of pregnancy can be noticed just after fertilization. in some women, we can notice early signs of pregnancy before a missed period.

2nd-week of pregnancy, discharge can be noticed after implantation (the very first **early signs of pregnancy)

During the week after fertilization, the fertilized egg (which is now an embryo) moves slowly down the Fallopian tube and into the uterus. It is already growing. The embryo attaches itself firmly to the specially thickened uterus lining. This is called implantation.

Hormones released by the embryonic tissue prevent the uterus lining from being shed. This is why women miss their periods (the very first **early signs of pregnancy) when they are pregnant.

In humans, implantation of a fertilized ovum is most likely to occur around nine days after ovulation; however, this can range between 6 and 12 days.

Pregnancy can not be maintained without successful implantation & sufficient rise in the level of progesterone hormone because of Progesterone causes the uterine lining or endometrium to thicken to maintain pregnancy.

The best time of getting pregnant is during the time of ovulation which is about 14 days after the first day of your last period.
Here is a way by which we can calculate implantation day,

calculation of ovulation days

(if you know the ovulation day you can easily detect the right time for sexual intercourse to achieve pregnancy and you have the idea of when will get the early signs of pregnancy before missed period)

If a woman is having 28 days cycle she can roughly calculate the implantation day

If you know the date you ovulated, add 9 days

Ovulation date + 9 days =Implantation date.

If you know the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP), add 23* days.

Date of last menstrual period + 23 days =Implantation date.

***23 days = 14 (average number of days between LMP and ovulation ) + 9 (average number of days between ovulation and implantation)

2 weeks pregnant ultrasound

you cannot found the ultrasound image of your baby-to-be for weeks 1 and 2. Doctors count these two weeks toward your due date, you aren't really pregnant. Confused? Your pregnancy due date is calculated using the first day of your last menstrual period. Obviously, you weren't pregnant at that time, but it's the best reference your health care provider has for estimating baby's arrival day (until you get an ultrasound, which may provide a more accurate due date).
